Day 1
Walk on the Ice Sheet & arrive in the world's smallest capital
Your journey starts with a flight from Copenhagen to Kangerlussuaq, where you land in the morning. From there, you need another flight to Nuuk, but before that, you have the chance to walk on the Greenland Ice Sheet with a tour to point 660!
The trip will last 5 hours, it is a ~1.5-2 hour drive with a bus from Kangerlussuaq to the Greenland Ice Sheet. During the drive you will enjoy the views of the arctic tundra, and if you are lucky you will see some raindeers, and musk ox on the way to the ice sheet. After the drive, you will get the possibility to step on the Greenland ice sheet.
After the tour, we will get back to the airport and continue our journey to Nuuk.
Next stop, Nuuk
After landing in Nuuk where we will check in at the lovely hotel which is located in the heart of Nuuk. After check-in, you can explore the area of Nuuk on organized tours or on your own.
Day 2
A Cultural Day in Nuuk
Nuuk has a lot to offer on your five-day stay. You can visit the Katuaq Cultural Center in the middle of Nuuk, alongside great shopping opportunities in the shopping center, Nuuk Center. Moreover, you can go see the local fish and meat market, Kalaaliaraq, and walk to the old town and the colonial harbor, which is really charming.
During the evening, you can go for dinner at one of Nuuk's many restaurants - and remember to keep an eye out for events in Katuaq, the Cultural Center!
You can also get a private guided tour of Nuuk's highlights by car! Enjoy 1.5 hours of exploration as you are chauffeured around town, soaking in the sights and stories. This tour is optional and can be added when booking - also possible on days 3 and 4.
Day 3
Optional tour sailing to Nuuk Icefjord
Today will be an Arctic adventure in the Nuuk Icefjord to witness the majestic Narsap Sermia glacier. Starting from Nuuk's colonial harbor, the boat tour will sail through breathtaking landscapes of icebergs and mountains. With options to enjoy the journey under the open sky or inside a heated cabin, your experienced guides will take you to Greenland's stunning icy wonders, including a potential up-close view of the Narsap Sermia glacier.
Day 4
Visiting Museums
On this day, we recommend a visit to Nuuk’s Art Museum. The permanent exhibition includes many paintings by the famous Greenlandic painter Emanuel A. Petersen (1894-1948) ), but there are also exciting and beautiful contemporary art and changing exhibitions. Before going, check the opening hours since they may vary with the season.
We also recommend a visit to the National Museum, which is located in the old and charming Colonial Harbor.
Here, you will find the unique mummies that were found in the Uummannaq area in the 1970s. On Sundays, the National Museum is open free of charge. Before going, check the opening hours since they may vary with the season.

What to bring
Layered clothing. Ideally, you should pack a thermal underwear layer (top and bottom), activity layer (e.g. hiking pants and shirt), insulation layer (e.g. fleece or down jacket), and outer layer of windproof clothing (top and bottom). You may not need all of this on any particular day, but you should have it available. You should always bring a windproof jacket, regardless of the weather.

Day trips may sell out closer to your arrival date, but for popular destinations, certain dates/times can also sell out months in advance. We recommend that you secure all of your experiences by booking them well in advance of your trip.
