Sarfannguit is located approximately 36 km east of Sisimiut, founded in 1843 with a population of 130 inhabitants. There are no road leading here, and no helicopter transfer so the only transport is by boat in the summer or by snowmobile or dogsled in winter. Greenland though it's size has small settlements such as this one, and you will get to see how the old ways collide with the modern way of life. Small villages live in Greenland due to the isolation, are very social. Help each other and share food they have caught, big animals they catch together which they also give to the elderly. Having only the necessary things like school, grocery store a church and a dock. These people live in a world away from the rest of the world, happily doing what they have to, to keep food on the table.

On this trip you get to know these very friendly people, get to hear about their upbringing, their ways of catching food and whatever you would like to know.

Sarfannguit is located hiking route between Sisimiut and Kangerlussuaq and participates in pilot projects for research into sustainable technology. At the same time, Sarfannguit is located in the forthcoming UNESCO World Heritage Site, which will bring new tourism opportunities for the settlement.

Discover the village on a guided tour while enjoying the quite-ness and calmness of your surroundings.

Sailing into the fjord provides us a spectacular view of the Unique landscape to both ways, and if you are lucky you might even be able to spot sea creatures. There will be a stop near some very famous fishing places, where there practically a guarantee for a catch, if anyone is interested in fishing.

Sarfannguit is located on a steep slope, and with that said, there are no roads inside the villages in Greenland, so be prepared for a steep walk through a path. It'll be an experience you will never forget. Giving you a taste of how people in Greenland live outside of the modernized world every where else in the world.
