5 Days Winter Experience | Ilulissat | Disko Bay

This amazing trip starts from the domestic airport in Reykjavik, where you will fly to Ilulissat. Upon arrival you will go to where you have booked your accommodation, and when unpacked you can head out. Ilulissat is a very beautiful town with a breathtaking scenery of icebergs, mountains and colors. It's almost looking at a painting, when the sun shines on the icebergs slowly gliding across the fjord and the wind softly blowing in your ear. The icebergs come in from the vast Sermeq Kujalleq ice sheet, and with the hugeness of their size, you get a better understanding of how thick the ice is in the winter.

Ilulissat is located 250 km north of the arctic circle, which means that in winter the sun rarely shows itself, and in summer it doesn't go down. To many not used to this, find it fascinating, and a bit confusing. Their brain having to get used to that even thouh the sun is up it's past midnight, but this is the perfect opportunity for some incredible pictures in day time and night time.
