This place is a balm for the soul and the best place for meditation!
Sommer has come and this is one of my favorite places on earth! Facing the icefiord from the top of this mountain is really something. Here you can feel yourself and hear your own thoughts :-)
There is a wooden walkway so everyone can go and see the beautiful view, even the ones in a wheelchair.
The stone landmark on the right is an "Inussuk" and have ancient roots in Inuit culture. These structures are found from Alaska to Greenland. These were used for navigation, as a point of reference, a marker for travel routes, fishing places, camps, hunting grounds, or to mark a food cache.
When we are out in the nature hiking or on a tent tour nowadays and see an inussuk we put an extra stone and the next one that comes by puts another stone etc, and that's how this gets bigger and bigger. The really big ones are even on the hiking maps.
