Finally is the snow melting!
This winter has been very long and many places we still see lots and lots of snow.
The beautiful cemetery is slowly getting its winter duvet off and are welcoming the sun like the rest of us :-)
The mouth of the icefjord is beautiful as always with its many icebergs, and the air is very cool and fresh!
The tide line is showing very clearly down by the edge.
Sermermiut has also still a lot of snow and even with the walkway, we had to cross some snow piles.
The marking made by stones that you see on the right side of the picture is what we call Inussuk. This is marking the beginning of the Unesco world heritage area. From here and along the icefjord, to the glacier and further in the ice cap, got on the UNESCO list in the year 2004.
It´s a must to go here while visiting Ilulissat, and you know what? It´s for free! ;-)
