It is an early September morning, going from Ilulissat to Disko Island.
The boat is leaving at 7 in the morning and the temperature is just about 0 Celsius. I can smell the cold fresh air, reminding me of cozy winter times. I have only been away from Greenland for two weeks, and still, the weather has changed fast and nature has gone from yellow to red.
I have tons of pictures of the icebergs at the mouth of Ilulissat icefiord, because they keep changing and I keep being amazed. Every time I am among these I forget everything around me, and just being in the present. Enjoying the present!
Amazing feeling to be among the big icebergs while the sun rises! I wish I could start al my days like this 😊
There aren´t any roads connecting the towns or the villages in Greenland. Therefore, we go by boat or flight from A to B. This trip normally takes 2 hours by a fast boat, but in the low season, it is a bigger and slower boat that sail around in the Disko Bay. This trip was extra-long because we had to go through another town and a village to deliver mails and pick up other passengers, so it took 8 hours. But the weather was good, so I just got myself a nice boat trip out of it.
