Den r\u00f8de linje markerer gr\u00e6nsen for verdensarvsstedet.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Isfjordens struktur<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I den \u00f8stlige ende flyder den hurtigt bev\u00e6gende (<em>Sermeq Kujalleq-gletsjer) LINK<\/em> ned fra det gr\u00f8nlandske isark og ind i Ilulissat-isfjorden. Isbjerge bryder glacerens overflade og k\u00f8rer sig ned ad isfjorden, som stedvis er mere end 1000 meter dyb. Det tager normalt mellem 12 og 15 m\u00e5neder for et isbjerg at komme sig ned ad Kangia-l\u00e6ngden &#8211; dels fordi fjorden fryser om vinteren, og dels p\u00e5 grund af t\u00e6theden af \u200b\u200bis i kanalen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>N\u00e5r disse isbjerge n\u00e5r ud til Isfjorden, m\u00f8der de en isfjeldsbank (Isfjeldsbanken), der f\u00e6lder de store isbjerge og blokerer isens bev\u00e6gelse ud i Diskobugten.
