{"id":60903,"date":"2013-11-19T09:06:00","date_gmt":"2013-11-19T12:06:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/guidetogreenland.com\/articles\/greenlands-university-ilisimatusarfik\/"},"modified":"2024-10-10T09:15:21","modified_gmt":"2024-10-10T12:15:21","slug":"greenlands-university-ilisimatusarfik","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/guidetogreenland.com\/da\/om-groenland\/greenland-today\/gronlands-universitet-ilisimatusarfik\/","title":{"rendered":"Gr\u00f8nlands universitet \u2013 Ilisimatusarfik"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>Tekst:\u00a0Tanny Por<\/em><\/strong><br><strong><em>Artikel fra det tidligere magasin, Greenland Today<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00d8get nysgerrighed og et \u00f8nske om uddannelse i Gr\u00f8nland har medf\u00f8rt, at landets eneste universitet, Ilisimatusarfik, er kommet i det akademiske s\u00f8gelys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Et_lille_universitet_%E2%80%93_med_gode_ambitioner\"><\/span><strong>Et lille universitet\u00a0<strong>\u2013<\/strong><\/strong> <strong>med gode ambitioner<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I 2007 var der kun 150 studerende p\u00e5 Ilisimatusarfik, dette tal er siden vokset fire gange, men det er stadig et lille universitet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Vi er et lille universitet med mange udfordringer, men der er en masse forventninger, og derfor m\u00e5 vi have store ambitioner, siger rektor Tina Pars, der har v\u00e6ret leder af universitetet siden 2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Med i alt 600 studerende indskrevet p\u00e5 nuv\u00e6rende tidspunkt er Ilisimatusarfik Gr\u00f8nlands vigtigste og st\u00f8rste h\u00f8jere uddannelsesinstitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Universitetet tilbyder undervisning i sociale og politiske videnskaber i Arktis, kulturel og social historie, sprog, litteratur og medier, overs\u00e6ttelse og tolkning, journalistik, sociologi, teologi, p\u00e6dagogik og sygepleje.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Natur_og_videnskab\"><\/span><strong><strong>Natur og videnskab<\/strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Et samarbejde mellem Gr\u00f8nlands Naturinstitut og Ilisimatusarfik er starten p\u00e5 dette gennem flere PhD projekter. Disse foreg\u00e5r p\u00e5 Gr\u00f8nlands Klimaforskningscenter&nbsp;<em>(GCRC)<\/em>, og fokus er aktuelle emner indenfor samfundet, klima og milj\u00f8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Dette samarbejde med universitetet er begyndelsen p\u00e5 noget st\u00f8rre, og uddannelse og kommunikation vil v\u00e6re centrale aktiviteter i de kommende \u00e5r, siger Mark Nuttall, professor i Klima og Samfund p\u00e5 Ilisimatusarfik og GCRC, og professor i antropologi p\u00e5 University of Alberta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Ny_kandidatgrad\"><\/span><strong><strong>Ny kandidatgrad<\/strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Et af de mest sp\u00e6ndende projekter lancerer snart en ny nordisk kandidatuddannelse mellem fem universiteter i Island, Nordnorge, F\u00e6r\u00f8erne og Gr\u00f8nland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Vi er i gang med at skabe en f\u00e6lles to-\u00e5rig kandidatuddannelse, hvilket er et led i vores internationaliseringsstrategi, der vil fokusere p\u00e5 centrale sp\u00f8rgsm\u00e5l i lederskab og b\u00e6redygtig forvaltning i den nordatlantiske region, siger rektor Pars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 De gr\u00f8nlandske studerende vil tilbringe et obligatorisk semester i udlandet, hvilket tidligere har v\u00e6ret en stor udfordring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det betyder, at en stor del af undervisningen i de politiske og naturvidenskabelige fag vil foreg\u00e5 p\u00e5 engelsk. Derefter tog han tilbage til Gr\u00f8nland og studerer nu statskundskab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Der er f\u00e6rre studerende i klasserne, og da der er f\u00e5 studieretninger, er det godt at kunne supplere med en bredere international uddannelse, siger Karsten Jensen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jensen har gjort brug af denne mulighed. Et semester i det danske folketing dannede grundlaget for hans bachelorprojekt. Derefter arbejdede Karsten tre m\u00e5neder p\u00e5 den danske ambassade i Korea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Universitetet er meget fleksibelt, n\u00e5r det g\u00e6lder internationale muligheder. Jeg er s\u00e5 heldig, at jeg p\u00e5 nuv\u00e6rende tidspunkt er praktikant p\u00e5 Den gr\u00f8nlandske Repr\u00e6sentation i Bruxelles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Jeg kan kun opfordre flere gr\u00f8nlandske studerende til at ans\u00f8ge om praktikophold eller udveksling i udlandet.
