A great experience: In spite of a little rain, which turned to snow on the ice, it became a fascinating tour with a perfect guiding all the way around, including good help with the equipment and the walking with crampons under your boot. So thank you to Guide to Greenland and the excellent guide, who obviously lowed his job and the ice.

Loved this tour! I been on Point 660 tour before but I felt I wanted to spend more time on the ice. And this tour was perfect opportunity as we spend almost 3 hours walking on the ice sheet discovering rivers and blue lakes!
Our guide was really informative and helpful trough all the trip. We also saw a lot of wild animals on the way to the ice sheet and stop to take some pics. I would 100% would recommend it this trip!!!

Very good trip! The full day adventure is more value for money than the ordinary trip to the inland ice and Point 66 as you actually spend 3 – 4 hours on the inland ice walking around in crampons which is an experience of itself if you have never used crampons before:) Excellent weather when we did the tour and very good sandwich for lunch included in the price!

I was on this trip in April and it was amazing! We saw the glacier wall, on the way we also saw some reindeers and Musk ox and we stop to take a picture. Because it was winter we had time to step on the frozen lake and get close to yet another glacier wall!
All in all amazing experience, definitely recommend that. So happy I booked it instead of spending time in the airport waiting for my next flight.

Great tour if you have limited time in Kangerlussuaq! I managed to step on the ice sheet during the layover in Kangerlussuaq airport!
Friendly and informative guide, we made some stops on the way to the ice, also saw some wild animals on the way and we even stop and get out to take pictures.
Walking on the ice was nice, I brought my own little spikes which I use in the winter so it was an easy walk. Otherwise if you dont have your own spikes or walking sticks you need to be a bit careful while walking on the ice.

We went on this 660 Ice sheet tour and had any expectations before we went out. I can now say, that it was maybe the most beautiful views I have ever experienced. A 5 hour trip with an amazing tourguide, who talked us trough the nature while we drove on the longest road in Greenand.
We made a few stops on the road to watch not only the spectacular views, but also got lucky to see musk ox, reindeers and arctic hares.
If you have 5 hours in Kangerlussuaq – you should with any doubt go on this trip!

Despite we were not the luckiest with the northern lights, we still could see them behind the clouds, and before the tour, we had a delicious greenlandic coffee, while the guides were telling some stories about the town, the Inuit culture and the research station. It was a good trip at the end of March!

A guide kindly suggested us to reschedule the tour because it was cloudy in the day we booked. In the following clear day, he took us to an excellent place to see northern lights. Thanks to him, we could see beautiful lights. While waiting for the lights, fortunately it was quite a little waiting time, he told us about Kangerlussuaq, Greenland, polar animals, etc., which was good as well as the lights. I would join this tour again if I revisited Greenland.

The traditional ice fishing ‘lesson’ was taken actually in Kangerlussuaq, still with this Company, and Polar Lodge hotel. It was led by a very kind girl, and we had a lady and 2 kids also as a companion. The kids behaved really well, and we 3 had fun discussions. However we didn’t see fish, had a great time on the ice. The weather and the scenery was fantastic, as well our discussions and mood. It is a really unique experience in the harbor area and overall… I learnt about the place, the people, Greenland and the language also a lot. As well about the tech of the ice fishing, how to work with the equipment. We just used artificial baits, and shiny but empty hooks. Generally they work, but could have been considered to use real bait too.. Nevertheless, that may be a good idea for other visitors, to try that too, by that way.

Fantastik tur på fjorden, med bjerge til begge sider, en sød hundefører guide, en flok velafrettet hunde, som med hørt rejst nød hvert en skridt de tog, på den 2 timers dejlige tur vi havde, TAK for det 🇬🇱😃
Mange hilsner

My guide was Adam, and he was awesome. He was both informative and funny which was a great help. Something else I should mention is his willingness to help anyone that needed help.
The views were incredible, and I still can’t believe that I was actually there. It was a surreal experience. For one, I know that I was fortunate to be able to go and see the Ice Cap, but also it was important because I got to see the effects of climate change.
The weather had been unusually warm for my entire stay in Greenland, both here and other areas. That may have assisted me, but it was a little windy at night so it took a little while for me to be warm enough.
The only thing I think should be mentioned is more about what is involved for the camping, such as setting up tents and the like.
I’d advise anyone considering it to have layers of course and perhaps choose your hiking books wisely. My boots were good enough, but the softer soles caused issues at times with the crampons. I’d also say make sure you are physically up for the hikes and let the guide know if you have any medical issues or concerns from the very beginning.
All in all, it was a great experience, and anyone who is able to do it, should. You won’t regret it.
