Disko Bay Adventures Ilulissat

DiskoBay Adventures is a tourism business, placed in Ilulissat and operated by local Adventure Guide Jens Kristian Reimer. He was certified as an Adventure Guide by Campus Kujalleq in Qaqortoq in 2016, which was the first time this training and certificate was offered in Greenland. Part of the Adventure Guide curriculum was an 8 day intensive Wilderness First Responder Medical course, taught by Wilderness Medical Associates, International, headquartered in the USA. The WFR certification is the gold standard for people who lead trips in remote areas and wilderness settings, or anywhere where access to definitive medical care can be significantly delayed by weather, terrain and limited transportation. Besides Adventure Guide we have local guides and greenlandic mushers with local knowledge, we also cooperate with local tour providers. Our services are unique and we have different business partners to serve the tourism in our town. Safety is our first priority, because the weather in Greenland can change anytime. Our mission is to show Ilulissat and the area with local guides and local knowledge, so your stay and experiences comes from greenlandics point of view.
