Black Sand Beach Sauna Experience | Qeqertarsuaq | Disko Bay

Soothe yourself with the most beautiful sauna experience in Qeqertarsuaq, Disko Bay. You will be pairing the soothing and relaxing properties of the sauna with the raw and wild beauty of Disko Island.

Your sauna experience takes place on the black sand beach of Siorasuit, just outside of Qeqertarsuaq. Here icebergs frequently wash up and creates a stunning scenery, while you also have the view over Disko Bay and the backdrop of the island’s iconic basalt mountains.

The sauna is a wooden barrel sauna and is perfectly positioned for you to enjoy a cold plunge in the icy waters of Siorarsuit black sand beach. The cold plunge is not a must, but highly recommended!

You arrive by the sauna 5 to 10 minutes before your scheduled session to prepare. Put on your bathing clothes and select a towel, that you can use in the sauna. Hereafter you have access to the sauna and you can sweat all you’d like for the next 1 hour.

• This is a non-guided experience. You have the sauna to yourself for 2 hours. The price includes 1 to 10 seat.
• There are the following regulations for the sauna:
• No nudity or alcoholic drinks in the sauna
• Wash your feet (there is a bucket outside) before entering the sauna.

Package tours can be sold out more than half a year in advance (note that Guide to Greenland does not include international flights in packages, except where indicated from Iceland or Denmark). Day trips may sell out closer to your arrival date, but for popular destinations, certain dates/times can also sell out months in advance. We recommend that you secure all of your experiences by booking them well in advance of your trip.
