Jump aboard this captivating two-hour tour to the world’s second-largest fjord system, Nuuk fjord! The fjord system is an impressive size of 160 kilometres, where you can find incredible fjord sceneries, towering mountain peaks and an abundance of wildlife, such as humpback whales, seals and auks.

Nuuk fjord is not only the worlds second-largest fjord system but also one of the oldest, as you can find mountains as old as 3,9 billion years.

Your tour starts by the harbour, from where your captain will welcome you on board his vessel. The tour takes place on a closed cabin boat, so you can enjoy the splendid Arctic landscapes from the heated cabin or on deck.

Once you have been seated, you will be heading north of Nuuk, towards the iconic mountain, Sermitsiaq. En route, you will be cruising along the shores of Nuuk town, from where you will be able to see the iconic colourful houses of Mosquito valley.

After admiring the spectacular scenery of colourful houses dotted across the mountain landscape, you will arrive by the mount Sermitsiaq. Under the peaks of the mountain is a small glacier, creating a stunning waterfall. Glacier meltwater tumbles down its side, creating a waterfall that you will get to experience.

The captain will be on the lookout for seals, whales and eagles. There are also very good chances of seeing icebergs all year round.

We had such a great tour! I do not think you have experienced Nuuk properly if you haven't been on a boat tour. This tour is perfect if you have a busy schedule or just a short stay in Nuuk. It was only two hours, but we got to see some beautiful nature and the captain was really nice and telling stories about the places we saw. The tour was in an open boat, but we all got survival suits, so we could stay nice and warm. Super service! I would recommend this tour to everyone :)
