Join a combination tour visiting 2 bucket list places in Kangerlussuaq: Point 660 and Russell Glacier.
At Point 660 you will find the most scenic view imaginable of the Icecap slowly descending into the colorful newly ice-free tundra and step on the ice sheet!
At the Russell glacier you will get the chance to come up close and personal with the 60 metre tall face of the Russell Glacier.
On the route to Point 660 and Russell glacier, you might be lucky to spot one of the many wildlife from the car, you will also have the possibility to have a short stop and snap a picture!
When you and your fellow explorers arrive at Point 660, breathe in the fresh air and gaze upon the enchanting and mythical Greenland Icecap, that ranges as far as the eye can see. The dirt road goes right up to the vast and majestic inland ice, giving you an excellent chance to explore it with your feet on the ice.
After that, we will head to the Russell glacier. Once at the glacier, we will get as close as safety allows. Remember that glacier faces are notoriously unstable and unpredictable, so you should never walk all the way up to it. We will listen to the running water, the cracking ice and, if you are very, very lucky, seeing part of the glacier break off and tumble into the meltwater river at its base.
See the much you can in Kangerlussuaq in a short period. It is perfect if you have limited time and you want to see as much as you can!
