Join this tour if you want to experience Greenlands most beautiful sides, of ice and breathtaking nature! Hop on board, this tour will take you to the Narsap Sermia ice fjord. En route you will also visit the small and charming abandoned village, Qoornoq.

There are thousands of small and large fjords throughout the Greenlandic coast, but near the capital, you’ll find a truly unique fjord system, which is the second largest fjord system in the world. The fjord system is one of the oldest in the world, and it shows in the form of high and steep mountains. In the fjord you will find two glaciers that calve beautiful icebergs that decorate the amazing nature with their white and blue shades, you will be easily impressed by how they’re sculptured by nature itself! Depending on ice conditions, you might be lucky to see the glacier. The captain will stop the engine so you can enjoy your lunch among the beautiful icebergs while overlooking the most beautiful nature and indescribable silence!

In between the many veins of the fjord system, you will be able to find abandoned villages, but there is one that is very special for Greenlanders: Qoornoq. After enjoying a nice lunch, in the Icefjord, we will make a quick stop in Qoornoq. The abandoned village is not completely abandoned yet, there is still life and beauty all year round - and even new houses are built as summer cottages. You will understand why the locals love to come here! Beautiful nature, friendly people and exciting history are to be experienced in Qoornoq.

On the way back to Nuuk, the captain will sail you past a marvellous waterfall, which falls from the iconic hallmark of Nuuk: Sermitsiaq.

Hop on board and check if there is enough space for pictures on your camera. Check out the booking availability by pressing "Choose a date" above.

Fantastic trip booked with Guide to Greenland!! Great staff, very courteous and friendly and great attention to details. One of my tours was cancelled due to not having enough people participating and Guide to Greenland quickly made other arrangements with another operator. The boat trip to the Nuuk Ice-fjord exceeded expectations! We also did a northern lights tour with Guide to Greenland where the owner Mads, guided the outing for the night. He knew all the best places to go outside the city for the BEST northern lights photography. I wish I could post some photos from that night. I highly recommend doing the northern lights tour with them if you are lucky to travel during the viewing months. I can highly recommend booking through Guide to Greenland. You will not regret it. I know I will be booking with them again for next year! Albert

We had many good things to enjoy! It was not only the fiord, the glacier, the icebergs and Qoornoq village, but the captain, the weather, the lunch, the privilege of being in Greenland!
