Explore the iceberg cathedrals of the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Ilulissat Icefjord on this small, open boat tour with a maximum of 7 passengers.
To really get a feel for the enormous size of the icebergs in Ilulissat, you must see them from the water.
On this excursion, we will sail to the most impressive locations amongst the current towers of ice that have become stuck on the underwater bank at the mouth of the Icefjord. With only 7 passengers, we may have the opportunity to customise the tour a little depending on interest, and while the captain (a local of Ilulissat) will talk about everyday life in Ilulissat and his experiences over the years, there is plenty of opportunity to ask him further questions about anything to do with Greenland.
The icebergs themselves present entirely different shapes and colours as we change the angle at which at which we are viewing them during our trip. They also look completely different depending on the weather and time of day, so you may even be tempted to do this tour more than once. Certainly the locals never tire of the view!
