Come along on this adventurous tour, sailing amongst giant icebergs to the charming village of Tiniteqilaaq. A journey wondrous for the eyes, this is for every adventurer who loves the arctic wonders, from beautiful icebergs to sky-high mountain peaks.

We will start at the Tasiilaq Harbour, heading north of the Ammassalik Island. Taking you through a breathtaking landscape with floating ice sculptures of all shapes and sizes. After about one to two hours into the journey, we will arrive at the tiny settlement. Tiniteqilaaq means “The strait that runs dry at low tide”.

We can see the Sermilik Icefjord from the village, a truly mesmerizing sight, with its colossal icebergs and the Greenland ice sheet blending into the horizon with the Arctic sky.

We’ll go on land and explore the village, as it is quite small, with approximately 110 inhabitants, you can quickly get a feeling of the daily lives of Greenlandic families living in the smaller communities on the coast.

This charming little village might not be an inhabited area further in the future, due to too many difficulties with the transport of groceries. So be sure to visit this stunning place of Tiniteqilaaq, when you still can!

After a short walk around we will venture back onto the boat and out into the Sermilik ice fjord and get a well-deserved lunch in the presence of icebergs and hopefully, humpback whales. Before returning to Tasiilaq, we will explore the southern side of Sermilik Icefjord, an astonishing sight.
