Later, enjoy a delicious welcome dinner at the hotel. Afterwards, you might want to unwind in the hotel’s Arctic Spa – hot tubs set beneath open skies, perfect for relaxing in crisp Arctic air.
Sisimiut is surrounded by spectacular mountains, and here in the Arctic Circle, you will hear the distinctive howling of sled dogs. It is an authentic, unforgettable experience that feels like stepping back in time.
Day 4
Discovering Sisimiut – history, culture, and scenic views
After breakfast, join a guided bus tour through Sisimiut, offering a fascinating introduction to the town’s daily life and history. You will visit the old heliport area, now home to sled dogs, and explore the lively fish and meat market, filled with fresh local catches. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views from the town’s highest point, before heading to the historic southern district with its traditional hunting houses. Finish the tour in Sisimiut’s picturesque colonial heart, visiting charming buildings from the 1700s, now housing the local museum.
