This camping site is a must-try if you really want to experience the wild and amazing Greenlandic nature far away from the city, but still want world-class comfort!
This tour begins from the Tide water steps down near Hotel Søma in Nuuk at 09:00. From there, you will sail toward the Nuuk Icefjord. A beautiful sail tour where you get the chance to see icebergs, breathtaking mountains, and in general amazing nature all the way to the camp.
Upon arrival (approximately at 11:30) you will be greeted by the guides at the camp (who speak English and Danish). There will be an ATV to help you with heavier luggage. From there, they will give you a quick tour around the area and give you all the relevant information for your stay at the glamping camp in Nuuk Fjord. Lunch will be served at 12:00 and at 13:00 you will be checked in to your accommodation for the night.
The rest of the day you can enjoy and choose what you want to do. You can take a hike in the mountains, go on a hike to a waterfall or several viewpoints from which you can see the ice fjord. We have hiking maps and safety equipment you can borrow before going hiking. Please always inform staff at the camp if you go out hiking on your own.
You can also go fishing, kayaking, or SUP. There are scheduled times for the activities. The guide will join you to ensure your safety.
There will be served between 19:00-20:00 in the large tent, which can be enjoyed inside or out on the platform with a stunning view. The following morning, breakfast can be enjoyed between 8:00-10:00. Water, Coffee and tea are included; other drinks like soda and alcohol can be purchased at the camp.
Departure from the camp at 12:00.
You will sail back and be at Nuuk 2:30-3PM (14:30- 15:00)
Please note, it is also possible to stay at the glamping camp for two nights, please contact us if you wish to do that (2 nights stays are available Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.)
When going to the glamping camp in Nuuk Fjord, it is important to remember it is located in the middle of the wilderness. Therefore, bring good hiking shoes and appropriate clothing for the outdoors and expect any type of weather.
The tents are heated with an electrical heater and each tent has a double bed with thick duvets and pillows, towels, and blankets. The tents are built on wooden terraces for maximum comfort. Next to the tent, you will also have two chairs and a table so you can sit outside and enjoy the views.
If you travel solo, you get the tent for yourself.
