Today you will meet guide at 9 AM and be introduced to the musher who will guide and transport you throughout the whole trip. He will tell you about the safety when traveling with dogsled, and start preparing the sled for take-off. The journey will shortly after the introduction, start taking us over Kong Oscars Fjord and up the large inland lake of Qordlortoq. When arriving at the lake there will be a short break to enjoy the scenic view. Continuing the adventure through mountain valleys before arriving at three huts. This is known as “Kaffebaren”, as it is used for breaks by hunters and people traveling through or in the event of bad weather. Another break is deserved with some refreshments to get you ready for the journey to continue.

We will then head up a hill about 500 meters above sea level, and this is a great chance for you to see how man and a pack of dogs work together to reach unimaginable places. When finally at the top you will get the most majestic view of the second largest fjord in Greenland, the Sermilik Icefjord. Crossing large glaciers numerous frozen over lakes to reach our destination at the end of the valley. Steep slopes and descents will be conquered before we hit Imaila Fjord, which we will also cross. At some point we will finally arrive at an abandoned village called Qernetivartivit, that we will have a chance to look around. The abandoned settlement consists of 5 houses, and close to this settlement is the hut we will be spending the night, situated. When we have settled in, we will try our luck with ice fishing. After 6 days of hard work you have the whole day to relax and gather energy. So take a stroll through town and visit the many shops and why not visit Hotel Angmagssalik for a cup of coffee whilst overlooking the town. Take a visit down at the tourist office/souvenir shop Skæven, and buy presents for friends and family at home. Located just behind Skæven is the church located, a beautiful pentagonal building with a breathtaking interior. While at the church, walk the last bit to the cane situated just left of the church. A very beautiful view over the snow-covered town, and enjoy the view.

Journey down to the big grocery store Pilersuisoq, where you will be able to get a chat with a local or two. Very few places in the world will you be able to walk into a store with groceries, just like any other store, except with guns and rifles on your left as you walk into the store.
