East Greenland Adventure | 6 Days

Join this adventurous package and experience glaciers, ice fjords, Inuit villages and hiking in incredible landscapes surrounded by the tall mountain peaks of East Greenland!

This tour takes you to Tasiilaq, the largest town on the east coast. This will be your base from which you go venturing out on incredible day tours sailing and hiking to glaciers, ice fjords, tiny villages and incredible landscapes covered in Arctic flowers surrounded by sharp peaks.

You’ll first arrive in Kulusuk, from which you’ll board either a boat or helicopter to Tasiilaq. Here in Tasiilaq, you’ll spend your nights in a cosy guesthouse. The first night you’ll be treated to a dinner possibly even a barbeque prepared by a local chef, and talk about the plan for the following days.

The tours will take you sailing to the well known and dramatic Karale glacier, Knud Rasmussen Glacier and Sermilik icefjord. And every time you are on a boat it’s a good idea to keep a lookout for whales! These gentle giants roam the area for schools of capelin fish. We’ll get to visit the village of Tiniteqilaaq and hike into the Flower Valley before it’s finally time to say our goodbyes.

Package tours can be sold out more than half a year in advance (note that Guide to Greenland does not include international flights in packages, except where indicated from Iceland or Denmark).

Day trips may sell out closer to your arrival date, but for popular destinations, certain dates/times can also sell out months in advance. We recommend that you secure all of your experiences by booking them well in advance of your trip.
