Come along on a tour through the world's 2nd largest fjord system! There are countless small and large fjords throughout the Greenlandic coast, but just near the capital, we have the world's second largest fjord system, Nuup Kangerlua, which is amazingly beautiful! And while Nuuk has a big city atmosphere, it's less than an hour's boat ride away from the silence and beauty of nature! There are many activities in the fjord all year round, such as reindeer hunting, seal hunting and of course fishing. There are two glaciers in the bottom of Nuup Kangerlua, which calves icebergs, and it's amazingly stunning how they decorate the landscape with their white and blue shades. The captain and the guide will be watching if whales and other animals show themselves, so be ready to shoot pictures! Right at the beginning of the fjord system, you can see the iconic mountain and the symbol of Nuuk, Sermitsiaq, which in the summer has a beautiful waterfall - and when the waterfall is frozen in the winter it is equally impressive to look at. Being in the stunning and peaceful nature is still a big part of Greenlandic culture, and after a boat trip like this you will find out how well you feel when you are among the wild and untouched backcountry. Put on some warm clothes and make sure there is enough space for pictures on your phone or on your camera and try to be part of nature on this trip to the fjord! The friendly captain and guide will welcome you and give you a great experience that you’ll never forget! You can go on a fjord safari pretty much all year round, so check availability for the next trip by pressing "Choose a day" at the top and book yours today.
