Private Combined Boat & Kayaking tour by the Icefjord | Ilulissat

If you seek the ultimate experience on the water and want to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Ilulissat Icefjord from both a boat and a kayak, this tour is perfect for you! We start our adventure by sailing with a boat from Ilulissat towards the icefjord. While enjoying the views along the way, the local guide will tell you about the icefjord, life in Ilulissat, and other exciting stories about the area.  After sailing around for about an hour among the gigantic icebergs, we will together find the best spot for kayaking among the icebergs.  You will receive thorough instructions and be equipped with proper kayaking gear suitable for the Arctic. Once ready, the guide will assist you in getting into your kayak from the boat. For your safety, the guide will follow alongside in the boat. We use single kayaks designed to be stable and easy to use, making this tour accessible even for beginners. You will enjoy at least 1 hour of kayaking with views of majestic icebergs coming out from the Sermeq Kujalleq glacier. If we are lucky enough to spot whales along the way, we will of course stop and observe these fascinating animals.  After kayaking, we will get back on the boat and head back to Ilulissat!  Choose the date and join us on this combined boat and kayaking tour to Ilulissat icefjord!

Package tours can be sold out more than half a year in advance (note that Guide to Greenland does not include international flights in packages, except where indicated from Iceland or Denmark).

Day trips may sell out closer to your arrival date, but for popular destinations, certain dates/times can also sell out months in advance. We recommend that you secure all of your experiences by booking them well in advance of your trip.
