Day Kayaking trough the Brede Bay | Ilulissat | Disko Bay

Kayaking is a unique and memorable experience that allows you to explore the majestic icebergs and stunning nature up close in the beautiful bay “Brede Bugt”. We will be kayaking in majestic nature and looking for whales. Your kayaking expedition begins in the city center, where experienced guides will provide thorough instruction in paddling techniques and safety procedures. After the instruction, you equip yourself with suitable kayaking gear and set out onto the water, surrounded by the dramatic landscape of impressive icebergs. Please note that if you join this trip, you need to be able to kayak for around 6 hours and 26 km. As you paddle through the Icefjord, you will experience the impressive sight of icebergs in various shapes and sizes. The bluish ice protruding from the water creates an atmosphere of tranquility and mystery. You will get to have a break on land in the Greenland nature where you get to have lunch, a sandwich, water, a snack, and a hot drink from this tour. Please inform us if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions. You may be lucky to observe local wildlife such as seals, whales, and various seabirds along the way. Package tours can be sold out more than half a year in advance (note that Guide to Greenland does not include international flights in packages, except where indicated from Iceland or Denmark).

Day trips may sell out closer to your arrival date, but for popular destinations, certain dates/times can also sell out months in advance. We recommend that you secure all of your experiences by booking them well in advance of your trip.
