Experience the phenomenal and humbling sensation of standing on the Greenland ice sheet! Point 660 is right at the edge between land and ice and offers an incredible view over the vast ocean of ice!

About 80% of Greenland is covered by ice, a massive ice sheet second only to the Antarctic. This ice is the product of eons of snow compressing itself to ice and moving along the barren rock due to its own incredible mass, creating moraines, crevasses, and rivers, this ice is an ever-changing organism and truly stands as one of the wonders of the world.

The tour starts from the Polar Lodge where you will hop into a large 4-Wheel-Drive vehicle with panoramic windows that’ll take you through the beautiful landscape of tundra plains and semi-desert valleys. You’ll be getting a sensational feeling of how vast and massive the Ice Sheet is while driving up on the beautiful moraine hills.

While on your way towards the magnificent Ice Sheet, you might be so lucky as to see some of Greenland's spectacular wildlife such as wild herds of musk oxen, reindeers, arctic rabbits, and polar foxes, and a variety of different bird species. So be sure to have your camera with you to take some great photographs of Greenland at it's best.

While being on your tour you’ll get to feel how small you are, in the largeness and abstract ice and nature around you. The trip also includes a walk on the surface of the Ice Sheet, giving you the full experience of Greenland's breathtaking wonders. After the walk, you will be heading back towards Kangerlussuaq with an entirely new perspective of the world we live in. So go ahead and find a date that suits you for this adventure!
