Visit the beautiful Qoornoq Island by booking this 4-hour boat trip! This tour is for those who would like to experience one of Nuuk Fjords, most interesting destinations of incredible nature and Greenlandic history. This experience should not be missed those visitors of Greenland’s capital, Nuuk, who are passionate about the country’s history and spectacular nature.
Sailing into Nuuk’s complicated fjord system, we will pass the iconic Sermitsiaq Mountain and enter second second-largest Fjord system in Greenland- Nuuk Fjord.
By the settlement, you will go ashore. Please note that there is no bridge/pontoon, so you will need to get out of the boat Greenlandic way (finding a good place and stepping out on the rocks).
After a walk between the few houses and the surrounding tundra, we will continue our journey to the other side of the island. This is where we will explore the old fish factory.
Qoornoq Island is close to the Nuuk icefjord, so often we will see icebergs on the way or stuck in front of the settlement, or even on the shore where you can go next to them and get some cool pictures.
If we have extra time on the way back to Nuuk, we will sail past the waterfall, where we will stay and listen to the sound of the running water.
