Day 1
Tundra Safari in Kangerlussuaq
Your journey begins with a flight from Copenhagen, Denmark, to Kangerlussuaq, Greenland. The flight takes approximately 4.5 hours, but the time will pass quickly as you enjoy food and beverages on board while taking in the views.

Upon arrival, you will stay at Hotel Kangerlussuaq, conveniently located in the same building as the airport.
After settling in, it’s time for a 1.5-hour Tundra Safari by bus. As we travel through the Arctic landscape, we’ll keep an eye out for reindeer, musk oxen, Arctic hares, foxes, and other wildlife.
The animals roam freely, so sightings cannot be guaranteed. However, Kangerlussuaq is considered one of the best places in Greenland to experience and observe Arctic tundra wildlife. To make the most of this experience, we recommend bringing a pair of binoculars.
In the evening, you will join a welcome dinner (beverages not included).
Day 2
Free day or full-day adventure on the ice sheet
You can enjoy a free day in Kangerlussuaq, explore the area, visit the museum, or take a walk around town.

From Kangerlussuaq to Point 660, step onto the Greenland Ice Sheet and experience one of the world’s most extraordinary Arctic landscapes up close.
This tour is perfect for active travellers. You’ll spend around 4 hours walking on the ice sheet with crampons and trekking poles, accompanied by a professional guide. No previous experience is required, but you should be fit enough to walk for 4 hours on hilly terrain (approximately 4–6 km).
For this excursion, you’ll need waterproof hiking shoes with sturdy soles and a water bottle so you can taste fresh meltwater from the ice sheet. We’ll take care of lunch.
The entire excursion lasts approximately 8 hours, including around 2 hours by bus each way. Along the journey, you’ll enjoy views of rolling mountains, the ice sheet stretching into the distance, and, if you’re lucky, Arctic wildlife.

Day 3
Free day or hike to Garnet Mountain
You can do some day hikes or rent an e-bike for the last day in Kangerlussuaq of join us to 8 hour- hike to Garnet Mountain.
Explore the wild beauty of Kangerlussuaq on a scenic hike through Arctic wilderness. Enjoy spectacular views from Tacan Mountain, walk along Great Salt Lake, and search for garnets at Garnet Mountain. Keep an eye out for musk oxen, peregrine falcons, and red-throated loons along the way.
Day 4
Arriving in Ilulissat and Icefjord sailing
We start the day with a domestic flight from Kangerlussuaq to Iceberg Capital, Ilulissat.
You will be transferred from the airport to Hotel Arctic, where you will spend the rest of your stay.
Sailing among the icebergs in Ilulissat is a must-do tour, which is included in your package! You will spend 2,5 hours sailing among the icebergs created by the huge Sermeq Kujalleq glacier.
In the evening, a welcome dinner is served at the hotel (beverages not included).
Day 5
Ilulissat Town Walk & Sermermiut Hike
On the second day in Ilulissat, you will learn more about the city and its history.
Explore Ilulissat on a guided town walk, discovering the Old Town, Zion Church, local museum, shops, and cafés.
Then hike to Sermermiut, an ancient Inuit settlement with spectacular views of the Ilulissat Icefjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 6
Calving Eqi Glacier
Another must-do tour included: a day trip to calving Eqi Glacier!
Boat tour from Ilulissat to the spectacular Eqi Glacier will take approximately 2-5 hours (depending on the boat used on the day).
After arrival to the glacier, you will have 2 hours to enjoy a close-up view of the glacier and, if you’re lucky, witness the dramatic sight of ice calving into the sea. You will enjoy your lunch with an incredible view. While sailing, keep an eye out for whales, seals, and seabirds along the way.
Day 7
Free day or optional tours:
A day you spend the way you want! You can enjoy an easy stroll in the city, visiting museums and shops or joining additional tours.
Optional excursions for today:
Kayaking among the icebergs
Experience Greenland from the water on a guided kayak tour among towering icebergs. Paddle silently through Arctic waters, admire the incredible colours of the ice, and keep an eye out for whales. The 3.5–4-hour tour includes at least 2 hours on the water in stable double kayaks, accompanied by a safety boat.
See the Ilulissat Icefjord and Kangia Glacier from above on an unforgettable 1.5-hour helicopter tour. Fly over Arctic mountains, lakes, rivers, and the UNESCO-listed Icefjord. The highlight of the tour is landing near the glacier for breathtaking views before flying back over the spectacular ice-filled fjord.
Day 8
Flying back to Denmark
Filled with memories, we are packing our luggage today. You will be transferred from hotel to the airport for your flight to Denmark.
