Come along and sail with us into the midnight sun!
There is a point in the night where the midnight sun dances between sunset and sunrise, never going below the horizon but playing at sea level, at this hour it is as if night and day have united in a marvelous play of colourful light. This phenomenon is completely unique to the far north and far south, so come along and experience this fabulous celestial artwork amongst the true giants of the sea, whales and icebergs.
From the port of Uummannaq, we head out late in the evening, voyaging towards the towering icebergs, and even though the clock clearly says it is night, the suns warming rays continue to shine upon you. This happens throughout most of the summer and is experienced most intensely whilst sailing among icebergs. You will quickly forget your sense of time, and before you know it, your coffee has gone cold, but it doesn't matter since the captain has plenty more as well as blankets to keep warm.
