Experience the perfect combination of Greenlandic nature, wildlife and cultural history on this full-day tour from Ilulissat to Qasigiannguit.
We will set sail from Ilulissat harbour and travel through the iconic Ilulissat Icefjord, passing enormous icebergs on their journey towards the open sea. Keep an eye on the water, as we may even be lucky enough to spot whales along the way.
Founded in 1734, Qasigiannguit is one of Greenland’s oldest settlements. Surrounded by mountains, lakes and open landscapes, the town has a strong connection to Greenland’s traditional hunting and fishing culture.
After arriving, we will hike across the tundra towards Tasersuaq Lake, enjoying views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The area is home to musk oxen, so with binoculars in hand, we will keep watch for these impressive Arctic animals. Along the way, we will enjoy a lunch prepared with fresh Greenlandic ingredients.
Back in Qasigiannguit, we will visit the local museum, where exhibitions and archaeological discoveries offer an insight into the area’s long history and Inuit culture.
After a day of nature and cultural experiences, we will relax on the boat ride back across Disko Bay, enjoying the spectacular scenery before returning to Ilulissat.
