Enjoy the wide-open spaces of the Greenlandic nature on this three to ten-day staycation in Sassannguit, outside Sisimiut! You will be enjoying the spectacular scenery of the North Greenlandic nature and fish in Sassannguit's boisterous river, from our luxurious tent camp.

A weekend in the wild, far from civilization with the only disturbance from reindeer and muskoxen - is to be experienced, on this city escape.

Sassannguit is located 1,5 to 2 hours outside Sisimiut by boat. The area is known for its spectacular valley landscape of Arctic tundra, towering mountains and a large river with breeding Arctic Char. Due to the Sassannguit rich fauna and river, the area has been used as a recreational area for hunting and fishing by the camp's host and his ancestors for centuries.

The surrounding landscape does not only offer great conditions for fishing, but also hiking and herb-picking. The mountains circumscribing the valley are covered in moss and seasonal herbs and berries.
