If you are coming to Nuuk between September and March, you won´t leave the island without having the chance to see the northern lights.
We had a few tours in the city, hunting the northern lights around the city. In some other countries, we literally go chasing clear skies, not necessarily aurora borealis.
Here in Nuuk, we just drive around the city, looking for the best spots to compose a nice picture with the northern lights, or a darker placer to admire them even more.
The guide was so friendly and funny, showing us the city, some monuments and important buildings, old and new harbors, old and new neighborhoods, and interesting facts about Nuuk City.
During the tour, we were driving and making several stops around the city, having some reflections at the sea, or the northern lights coming behind the mountains, or dancing above the graveyard, or glowing next to the old houses, or bringing more light to the bright Greenlandic capital.
We had a very nice and cozy break drinking hot chocolate and having some biscuits while enjoying the green show and taking pictures.
