I had a great experience working through Guide to Greenland. All of my tours were terrific.
Niren –
Too expensive compared to what we saw.
Abigeil –
Had just one day spend in Nuuk so it was perfect to go sailing in the late night so we could spend time walking in the city and museums during the day.
It was a beautiful light while we were sailing.

Loved this tour, the views were amazing. We reached the small wooden hut where we got a hot drink with a view of the fjord.
I would advice taking some snacks, chocolate with you.
Dave (verified owner) –
The tour took us up and close to mountains, icebergs and waterfalls. Top 5 beautiful places in the world. Great excursion to capture the essence of Greenland. Sebastian and his wife were awesome guides.
Bracq (verified owner) –
It is an amazing walk. The landsapes are beautyful. The guide was ill but another guide came at the last moment so we can do it. Thanks !
Camilla (verified owner) –
A very good hike. It was a friendly and experienced guide and they had brought water for coffee or tea.
It was very foggy that day, so we didn’t see the views which was a shame but that’s Greenland.
Amit (verified owner) –
Beautiful view. The guides were friendly and provided coffee and biscuits. I highly recommend if you want to see a beautiful nature view of Nuuk
Klaus –
Loved this easy hike with beautiful views. We Did it in winter so we also get to try snowshoes.
We would recommend it!
Lene (verified owner) –
Absolutely wonderful experience! The camp is located in the most beautiful area with the view of icebergs from your tent’s porch. The food is superb, staff and guide does everything to help your stay unforgettable. I’d definitely come back and maybe stay 2 nights next time.
Maryse (verified owner) –
This place is amazing! Where else can you sleep in a comfortable tent while listening to far away ice-cracking?
The hosts adapted to everyone’s wishes while choosing for activities to do. They were really nice. They even cooked the fish the guest caught. It was delicious.
The place is remote and so clean… You can drink from rivers and the water tasted better and fresher than at my home. The tent was warm and well provided. There is no shower and wifi, but time to enjoy true nature heaven and reconnect with it. I stayed longer than I planned; no choice the place was way too cool and I was lucky they had vacancy.
Ellen –
I Can only give my hightest recommendation for this tour! The tents are super cozy and the crew super friendly. The Camp is placed in a very isolated area, which makes it very authentic. Had a great time there! Good idea to bring mosquito repeller
Jolita –
All from beginning to end was an amazing experience. The sailing trip and the end were an obstacle course of icebergs! The place is so beautiful and wild, you can take some small hikes around the area or just enjoy the fresh air and no connection with the outside world. Take your hiking shoes with you. I would definitely recommend to book it!

Great boat ride with beautiful scenery. We traveled quite a distance, but eventually were able to see a few humpback whales. The crew was awesome in their pursuit to find the whales for the tour group. Recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see whales, but also take in what Greenland 🇬🇱 has to offer with beautiful landscape.
Manuela (verified owner) –
We found no whales at all. I know that it’s a matter of luck, but at least the guide could have given us some information about those animals and the fjord. He was not much talkative, so the trip was boring.
Stefan (verified owner) –
An enjoying boat trip, we saw some whales, and some other great landmarks.
Dietmar Schmitz (verified owner) –
It was perfect.
So many Whales, Trip was longer than expected.
The crew on the boat was great.
We had a fantastic time.
Thanks so much!
Dietmar
Lise –
No whales.. and the coffee was cold.
🙁
Khrystyna –
This tour was awesome! We saw three humpback whales and the scenery was beautiful. Our tour was initially cancelled because of bad weather but the staff was very nice and rescheduled for a different day. The cabin is warm and our captain was VERY knowledgeable about Greenland! It was very fun!
Tomasz –
The trip was excellent in large extent thanks to a very nice and competent guide. Hot chocolate was served, which was nice after being outside looking out for the whales. Kept some time but finally managed to see some, which has been great. A closed ship was used, great to warm up. All in all, a fantastic experience!
Tom Baker –
We lost count of how many whales we saw. It felt like they came to greet us !! The seated indoor cabin is a huge plus as the weather can be unpredictable. The staff are super friendly and enjoy seeing the whales as much as everyone else on the boat. Guide to Greenland is easy to work with and responds quickly to all questions and inquiries.

Had a great tour, we sell out of Nuuk still with some nice colors of sunset. Short after that we got out of city lights and saw Northern lights.
It was a good tour, could stay outside but also be warm insight the boat cabin.

We absolutely loved this private boat tour. The scenery is spectacular and we had the chance to get right next to a huge iceberg and waterfalls. The hike around the village was fun and interesting. The boat is very nice with a spacious inside cabin and the staff is great. For those who prefer sitting outside we recommend wearing warm clothes. And bring mosquito head nets if you plan to walk around the island. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience — highly recommended.
Jim Robertson (verified owner) –
This tour was exceptional and our guides were the perfect hosts.
Solrun (verified owner) –
A beautiful tour with a very nice and informative guide. We saw an amazing waterfall and eagles, sailed up close to some very big icebergs and walked around an abandoned village. Absolutely recommend this tour!

We did a round tour of Nuuk fjord, where we first visited the Narsap Sermia glacier and Uummanaq island for whale watching. The last stop of the day was Qooqqut, where we did some fishing in the neighbouring waters, and ended the day with a lovely dinner at Qooqqut Guide to Greenland fulfilled our day with the best service imaginable, providing smiles, laughter and an excellent cruise through Nuuk Fjord’s waters!

It was very interesting to observe all those beautiful birds in their natural environment. An exciting experience. It’s a pity that the guides don’t give much information, unless they are specifically asked.
Courtenay (verified owner) –
This was an awesome tour! Our young guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and when we serendipitously spotted a whale, he went out of his way to get us and opportunity to see several whales as the breathed and dove. What an experience! And it was fun to interact with the other 5 tourists who were all from different countries. A magical evening!
Barry Kelly (verified owner) –
This was our first tour in Greenland and just seeing the scenery on the way was fantastic. The Guide ( I believe Heidi ) was so very informative along the way. We arrived at the puffin island and there were hundreds of birds. We had time to see a lot of activity and take plenty of photos. Our captain Millu was fantastic. He took us very close to our first iceberg sighting and we had lots of time to take many photos and enjoy this magnificent site!! He did an exceptional job.
I highly recommend this tour!!!

Puffin Island Excursion – A Journey Worth Every Feathered Moment
To anyone who doubts the magic of visiting Puffin Island off the coast of Greenland—I must respectfully disagree. This wasn’t just a sightseeing trip. It was a life-affirming experience, shared with an incredible crew and fellow guests who brought curiosity, warmth, and humor to every moment.
The migratory birds—especially the puffins—were nothing short of awe-inspiring. Watching them dive, soar, and nest in the rugged cliffs was like witnessing a choreographed ballet, one only nature could compose. Some might say, “It’s just birds.” But if you’ve ever seen thousands of wings slicing through Arctic wind beneath a golden sky, you’d know it’s never just birds.
Our crew’s deep knowledge and respect for the environment elevated the journey, offering stories and insight that brought the landscape to life. Every detail, from the smooth navigation across the Labrador Sea to the shared meals and laughter on deck, made it unforgettable.
So to the skeptics—I say go. Let the wind tangle your hair, let the silence of the sea humble you, and let the puffins show you why this island deserves your wonder.

It was ok for me. My partner liked it a lot.
Jill –
Great tour! We sailed to the small island to see these beautiful birds. My advice if you have your own binoculars take them on the tour! They had pair of binoculars on the boat bit it is always nice to have your own.
Also bring your zoom lenses if you want to catch some great pictures of puffins.
Gabriela Zendejas Maldonado –
Great tour with cute puffins! Sailing from Nuuk was fast with a comfortable boat and nice crew on board.
Laura Revsbech Winther –
It was an amazing trip with a stunning view of the puffins. After an hour boat ride from Nuuk we arrived to some small, uninhabited islands. Their – in the middle of nowhere sorrounded by a magnificent nature – a puffin colony was hiding.
Accompanying the view our host/guide served us, tea, coffee and cookies.
Hence, I can highly recommend going on this trip

I would recommend this day trip from Nuuk. The hike was beautiful and something you could not do on your own. The boat ride was smooth and both the guide and captain were wonderful.
The only reason I am giving it 4/5 stars is because 1. The cost was high 2. The description was for 7 hours but it was about 9. Which was an issue because we didn’t know to bring food. It was a long day to not eat and by the time we got back everything in Nuuk was closed.
If you pack your own lunch/snacks and prepare for a long time on a boat – you will love this hike!
Susan (verified owner) –
Knowledgeable guide and captain. The hike was good, lots of mosquitoes as the day progressed. Beautiful views and lots of ice.
Shou Wee, Tok (verified owner) –
We had a really experienced and awesome boat captain. While heading towards our landing point, we met lots of ice a d icebergs. The captain slowed down and navigated safely through them. We have lots of respect for her.
As for the hike, we were unable to reach our end point. Partly, there was some delay in getting here due to the icebergs we met along the way. Partly, the guide is new to this and does not know the trail. So, we ended up walking through some marsh. The guide was able to guide us safely around with her knowledge of the wilderness in general, but our progress was slow. Hence,we could not get to the end point to view the Icefjord at the other side. But we got to pick blue berries, black berries, and Labrador tea, and saw some grouses that are in the process of donning their white winter coat. All in all, it was quite enjoyable.
On the way back, our captain and guide netted a piece of black ice and we had nice cold drinks from the 6000-thousand year old ice. This was awesome.

We booked a 2 hour Icefjord Tour through Guide to Greenland and had an amazing time touring with the team. The positive experience started with the team doing a great job communicating with me on the day of the tour since tours had to be delayed due to cruise ship delays. The boat tour was beautiful and in a very nice and comfortable boat. We really enjoy cruising around the fjords and seeing waterfalls and icebergs. The crew was also great and offered a ton of local knowledge and history and really went out of their way to ensure their passengers had a great time. We HIGHLY recommend this tour and would love to do this tour again.

Although we couldn’t reach the glacier, the boat captain and his assistant made every effort to keep us safe and comfortable.
Much appreciated and very thankful
Mehernosh (verified owner) –
We didn’t even reach the glacier. The boat captain said we were still 50 Kms away from the glacier, but couldn’t reach it because the boat had to navigate through closely packed ice. The boat captain was very cautious.. even tried to avoid brushing past the smallest of icebergs.
We didnt have this problem in Ilulissat, where the boat captain took us to the Eqi calving glacier through thick ice.
The trip in Nuuk was a bit disappointing.
Iluuna Heilmann –
My fellow explorer and I had the best day we could imagine. We did the tour to Nuuk Icefjord, where we saw jumping whales. It is truly amazing to cruise through the icy waters. Once we arrived we enjoyed a nice glass of whiskey with ice from the Narsap Sermia Glacier. CEO Anders Lykke Laursen and his guide provided the day with smiles and laughter, creating the best atmosphere onboard 🙂
Barbara Vang –
I had an truly amazing experience on this tour in the summer. The landscape and weather was absolutely amazing! We saw whales several times – even jumping whales, huge icebergs and fished. It was so much fun and the captain was so knowledgeable, telling a lot of stories from all of Greenland. Such a memorable and fun day!

FAVOURITE TOUR! Kangeq is definitely worth a visit – it is one of my favourite destinations in the capital area. The mystical scenery and coastal environment give an authenticity that is hard to find anywhere else.

Almost nothing described in the leaflet has been delivered (tour on 11th of May 2025, started at 15:30). We were five cramped in a small boat, like sardines. When walking on the island, be aware there is no pier, you have to jump from the boat on a slippery rock. On the island there is no trail, quite challenging to walk on grass, snow and rocks

Excellent tour, it was great to see the village and learn more about it. We also saw some icebergs on the way! Very friendly guides.

We had a great sailing tour to Qoornoq. Really nice guides on the boat, an amazing sailing tour, and such a charming little settlement to visit 🙂
Taila Autele –
Incredible day trip to this little settlement! We were able to get off the boat and walk around the old Cod factory while the guide told us stories about its history and her own personal stories as a kid visiting the island. There were TONS of little icebergs on the shore which were amazing to see! Super unique trip, and not to mention the views throughout the fjord were spectacular!
Audi –
What a great trip! The view through the fjords was incredible. We stopped on the way to have a look at the icebergs from up close. W even saw eagles and seals. The guide was very friendly and answered all the questions. I’d definitely recommend this trip.

Ilze (verified owner) –
It was a great tour. If you stay in Nuuk only – greatly recommended. If you head up to Ilulissat, you still can take this one as a first glimpse on ice. Along the road you will sea a deserted village, a lot of boards, some mountain peaks and a waterfall. The surprise awaits in the icefjord and I will not spoil it:)

We had a wonderfull trip, in great weather. We luckily got bumped from the 9 o’clock trip to the 15:30 slot, and thus avoided a foggy and dull trip.
Heads up to the two young guides, for beeing very social and informative, and helping us to “the best icecubes in the world” 🙂

Absolutely amazing tour? Totally recommended. And big thank you for our wonderful captain – don’t remember her name but it was a woman! Thank you!

Incredibly beautiful and enjoyable cruise! Our guide and captain, were kind, knowledgeable, and friendly. We enjoyed the ride. It was nice being able to sit inside the cabin and also step outside to look closely at the icebergs. What a wonderful excursion!

Passeio inesquecível próximo a nuuk, adorei o sabor do whisky e a paisagem local 😀

The guide Miilu was outstanding. We saw fabulous icebergs, the most beautiful jagged mountains, and the peace , quiet and fresh air was just fabulous.

The ice fjord trip was one of the highlights of our five days in Nuuk. Beyond the awesome beauty of the fjord with its towering snow-covered mountains and the thrill of seeing thousands of icebergs of different kinds, both our captain and guide were warm, friendly, and engaging. One of the best parts of the trip was our guide reaching into the sea with a net and extracting a beautifully clear piece of 10,000 year old ice and cracking that ice for drinks. Our captain also performed a very old, traditional East Greenland song for us as we floated amongst the icebergs in this stunning setting of mountains, sea, and ice. We were also lucky to see a whale quite nearby. This excursion is a must for anyone visiting Nuuk.
Denise copping (verified owner) –
Boat was too small and the 4 hour ride was very bumpy and uncomfortable/ guides were great and the scenery and icebergs were fantastic/ this trip needs a bigger boat
Birgitte (verified owner) –
The icefjordtrip was fantastic. We saw lots of icebergs and it is almost supernaturalistic to sail close by Them. The staff was so nice too. I Can very much recommend the tour.

What a special day it was indeed, this was one of the best tours I’ve ever done in my life! When we sailed into the nuuk icefjord and we suddenly seen icebergs words couldn’t comprehend how amazing it was. It was a once in a lifetime experience to be able to see those huge icebergs up close, I took so many pictures that day and even managed to get some pictures with me with the icebergs in the background, which when I get home I am going to get them framed as a special memory. The 2 tour guides on the boat was very friendly, the women on the boat the 2nd guide I couldn’t remember her name but she was awesome, she translated all what the captain was saying in English and answered any questions I had 10/10 experience without a doubt!
Ditte (verified owner) –
Helt igennem fantastisk tur!

Amazing views, amazing trip, perfect for a day tour around the Nuuk fjord.
Jason (verified owner) –
Was a nice tour, but based on the description expected more from the boat. It was a rather crowded generic boat with room for 6 inside…and quite cramped for this long of a trip. The guide/driver (one person) was quite nice and knowledgable, but did struggle a bit with communicating in English at times. That said, it was a very nice trip and the small group made for a leisurely/customizable to a point pace, so overall recommended!

Have seen so many beautyful icebergs. We will never forget this trip. Thank you so much!

We booked a 2 hour Icefjord Tour through Guide to Greenland and had an amazing time touring with a team. The positive experience started with the team doing a great job communicating with me on the day of the tour since tours had to be delayed due to cruise ship delays. The boat tour was beautiful and in a very nice and comfortable boat. We really enjoy cruising around the fjords and seeing waterfalls and icebergs. The tour team was also great and offered a ton of local knowledge and history and really went out of their way to ensure their passengers had a great time. We HIGHLY recommend the tour and would love to do this tour again.

Amazing trip made all the better by a touch of early fog making the burgs very ethereal. When the fog cleared wow …. We gad the pleasure of seeing a sea eagle, Humpback Whale the abandoned village, waterfalls …. Who knew you could age icebergs? Definitely take Polaroid sunglasses then you can see how large the Icebergs are below the surface of the crystal clear ocean! The crew were hospitable and knowledgeable And thanks for the drinks and snacks!

A “must-do” when in Nuuk! This was a fantastic trip. We were fortunate to take this tour on a crisp, sunny day. We saw whales, seals, birds, and some impressive icebergs and glaciers. The crew is friendly and hospitable.
Bring your camera and some sunglasses (it can get bright near the glaciers)! The crew provides beverages and some snacks, and the interior of the boat is kept warm.

This was an incredible tour! The boats are very comfortable and the guides are fantastic. We saw so many ice bergs a spectacular waterfall and an abandoned village. On our tour we were picking up some campers so we got to go into camp and go on a little hike as well. The tour is long so the lighting changes throughout the day offer many awesome picture opportunities.
Thomas Taylor (verified owner) –
If you only get a chance to book one boat ride while you’re in Nuuk, this is the one. You’ll see an abandoned village, a massive bird colony, a few waterfalls, and of course, the icebergs. The guides were super friendly and very willing to answer any questions. Overall, one of the best tours I’ve done!

Great tour! We sailed around 2 hours trough the beautiful fjord, saw some icebergs on the way. In the settlement we have time to take a walk, visit a small church and local shop. Very cute place with friendly people.

Probably the best sailing tour around Nuuk if you ask me! We went deep into the amazing fjord to visit the settlement of Kapisillit. Such a cool place and remote place. The sailing tour itself was also one for the books!

Beautiful views sailing through the fjords to get to Kapisillit Settlement! When we got there we were able to explore the town and go inside their church. It was VERY icy though, bring crampons or traction for your boots if you’re coming in winter! The guide told us about the town and answered all questions that we had. Highly recommend!

It was an incredible experience of visiting 2 settlements with stunning scenery. It was a worth-taking money and time tour. Highly recommended! The guides are helpful too. I had a great moment with them. It is a must tour although it is freezing during winter 😛

This has been one of my favorite tours in Nuuk! I had the best guide and captain onboard.
Ester is a local guide, experienced on sailing, hunting, hiking and telling stories about Greenland.
We had a wonderful day and the weather improved as soon as we left the city behind. The captain sailed around the icebergs and we had a coffee break, then we disembarked and took a hike all the way to the colorful ice fiord. Once we stopped taking pictures, we had a delicious sandwich for lunch, while admiring the icebergs laying on the beach.
On our way back, we visited Kapisillit and had enjoyed some of the berries we picked during the hiking. This trip is a must if you are visiting Nuuk!!!

Man patiko keliauti su „Guide to Greenland” kompanija. Tikiuosi sekantį kartą plaukti iki ledkalnių visai dienai.

Sveiki,

I was underwhelmed by the experience. From all the promotional materials I expected to see much more in the way of ice burgs.
The two fellows on the boat were very nice. Not their fault.

Really loved this trip. The skipper and tour guide were very friendly and knowledgeable and also very communicative before the trip, making sure we were informed of all arrangements or time changes. We saw icebergs and shipwrecks and had wonderful talks with the guide about nature and life in Greenland.

I wish to advise that I had a fabulous day in Nuuk thanks to your help with the Tour Bookings . The “Fjord Safari Cruise” was spectacular. The Crew were excellent. On the cruise we witnessed an incredible Sunset, plenty of small to Large Icebergs and either one or possibly two Whales going about their normal business performing for our cameras.
To conclude I had a memorable visit to Greenland, so wish to thank you for your help in organizing the two Tours.

It was a wonderful experience!!! We were sailing in Nuuk Fjord, excited about the idea of exploring the area by boat, but we ended up meeting whales and sailing around icebergs. I loved it!!!
Barbara Vang –
Barbara Vang –
We had such a great tour! I do not think you have experienced Nuuk properly if you haven’t been on a boat tour. This tour is perfect if you have a busy schedule or just a short stay in Nuuk. It was only two hours, but we got to see some beautiful nature and the captain was really nice and telling stories about the places we saw. The tour was in an open boat, but we all got survival suits, so we could stay nice and warm. Super service! I would recommend this tour to everyone 🙂

The fjord experience is fantastic and the staffs are nice. They told a lot of stories, showed great landscapes, and provided nice snacks treats. Strongly recommend it to travelers.

We had an excellent time on this short tour! We visited in January 2022 and the timing of the tour was matched so there was some daylight to see the beautiful surroundings. The tour guides were great! Would definitely recommend this tour!

It was a wonderful experience!!! We were sailing in Nuuk Fjord, excited about the idea of exploring the area by boat, but we ended up meeting whales and sailing around icebergs. I loved it!!!

Completely loved it! The captain helped us with the fishing lines and he knew the best places to fish. We caught so many fish! Then we went to a beautiful restaurant that let us watch as they prepared the fish. We loved our lunch – all the preparations were delicious. Perfect day.

The fishing trip was amazing. We caught a lot of cod and a little few redfish. The boat crew made it fun and the views from the boat were great. We passed by waterfalls and icebergs. The meal that was cooked for us offered many different tastings of the fish and was all delicious. I am very glad to have done this tour and would recommend it to everyone who enjoys fishing

The “Catch N Eat” experience in Greenland is more than a tourist activity—it is a profound cultural and ecological immersion that embodies the intersection of Indigenous knowledge, sustainable living, and cross-cultural connection. From the moment we set out on the frigid yet crystalline waters, our small group of eager participants was invited not only to witness but to partake in a tradition as old as the Arctic coastlines themselves: fishing for survival, for sustenance, and for shared memory.
The catch—healthy specimens of cod and vibrant ocean perch—was abundant and exhilarating to reel in. These moments, filled with laughter, encouragement, and gentle competition, reflected the deeply human joy of harvesting one’s own food. Yet what elevated this outing into the realm of scholarly significance was the shoreline demonstration that followed. There, an experienced local fisher expertly filleted our catch in front of a rapt audience, narrating the process with insight rooted in generations of lived experience. It was a tactile education in anatomy, resourcefulness, and respect for the land and sea.
The walk from the shore to the seaside “tester aunt” (tasting tent) was as breathtaking as it was symbolic—a literal and metaphorical journey from nature’s raw offering to communal nourishment. The landscape was a textbook of glacial geology and Arctic flora, while the social environment was a case study in emergent kinship. Newfound friendships were forged not through convenience but through shared awe, and gratitude.
This excursion merits academic attention as a model for experiential, land-based learning. It holds potential as a pedagogical template for sustainable tourism, intergenerational teaching, and the preservation of Arctic lifeways. In short, Catch N Eat is not simply a tour—it is a living classroom.

Great crew, lots of fish and a freshly cooked dinner. Saw whales and Caribou. Would have loved the fish to be just grilled or sashimi. Overall though, I would highly recommend.😃

Wonderful excursion! Our crew was friendly and helpful! We had a chance to stop and do some whale watching on our way to the fishing spot. The fishing spot was close to a beautiful waterfall on a nearby mountain. We caught plenty of cod and enjoyed a nice dinner and conversation at the restaurant in Qooqqut.

A wonderful trip in Goodthaabfjord but we were looking forward to be able to fish more (we only got to fish one person at the time, for a short while for two persons in our family of four. Our kids were really looking forward to the fishing but now they had to stay beside waiting…)
The restaurant at the Qooqut Nuan just has an amazing view and the place is 👍👍👍 Our fish was prepared in varioys ways, first as a great fish soup as a starter. Then as different main courses that were both high and low (toi much fried fish on the table).
But overall a very nice trip 😊

Very fine trip. The guide, Malik, was an excellent storyteller and knew a lot of facts about Greenland, which he wasn’t shy to share. The fishing was great and fun!
The food was ok, but, in my opinion, too little emphasis on the fish and too much deep fried.
The taste was fine, though.

First time in my life try fishing with the line, was so fun and easy! Guide help me all the way explained what we need to do. After that we sailed to amazing small local restaurant in middle of nowhere and they cocked our fish 3 different ways. Delicious and fun tour!
