The Abandoned Nordafar | Private Charter | Nuuk

Hop on board and join this cultural-historical excursion to the former fisher station, Nordafar! With this tour, you will be travelling back in time, exploring and uncovering a piece of Greenlandic history.50 kilometres from Nuuk, you will find the old fisher station, Nordafar. The station was established in 1927 and was operational until 1989. Since the former station has been left untouched and tell tales of the early colonialism and the modest living conditions. But, you will also find modern facilities, from laundry service, a freezer compartment and an abandoned hostel.  However, the buildings stand empty resembling a ghost town. This out-of-town adventure takes you 2 hours from Nuuk.Nuuk Water Taxi will pick you up, in the Old Colonial Harbor.
